Bones provide support so we can move and protect the body's most important organs such as the brain, heart and lungs. They also serve as a storehouse of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus, which are necessary for many reactions in the body. Unfortunately, sometimes problems can appear both in the bones and in the joints.

When a dog or cat comes to us with a bone/joint problem, we'll always perform a physical examination and usually we'll take x-rays. Sometimes blood tests are also necessary. When the diagnosis is reached we'll discuss the ideal treatment with you.

If surgery is needed, our senior vets Pep and Francesc will perform the surgery. They have got more than 35 years of experience in general and orthopaedic surgery.
