To be able to travel within Europe, your pet needs:
– to be identified with a chip
– to be vaccinated against rabies at least 21 days before travelling
– to have a European pet passport

In the case of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Malta, Finland and Norway, dogs must also be treated for internal parasites between 1 and 5 days before entering the country.

If you want to travel outside the European Union, you must ask the country’s embassy/consulate or you can consult the website of the country’s ministry.

Some countries or some airlines require a veterinarian to issue a health certificate and treatment against internal / external parasites before travel. Ask for information in advance to have everything ready for the trip!

At Clínica Veterinaria Multifauna we can help you with the requirements and we can issue a health certificate or passport.
We can also advise you on how to make the journey as stress-free as possible for your furry friend, we’re here to help you!
